Information LoopWise uses
LoopWise uses precise location during a round to calculate distances, determine the current hole, measure shots, and support Plays Like estimates. The app may also store course and green geometry, targets, rounds, scores, statistics, match settings, saved-player details, Handicap Index information, equipment, practice activity, and preferences that you enter or import.
Storage, backup, and synchronization
LoopWise stores its working data on your devices. If you enable iCloud backup and synchronization, supported course maps and round data are copied through Apple’s CloudKit service in your private iCloud account so they can be restored and kept in step across your devices. You can turn these features off in LoopWise Settings and manage iCloud access in Apple Account settings.
Location and Apple services
LoopWise uses Apple services such as Location Services, MapKit, WeatherKit, HealthKit for an Apple Watch golf workout, and CloudKit when the corresponding feature is used. Apple processes information for those services under its own terms and privacy policy. Location is used to provide golf features; Summa Cruxis LLC does not use it for advertising.
GHIN
If you choose GHIN features, LoopWise opens GHIN’s own website to look up Handicap Indexes or prepare a score. Your saved GHIN login remains in the iPhone Keychain and is not included in LoopWise backup or device synchronization. LoopWise can fill GHIN’s hole-by-hole entry form, but it does not press Post Score; you review the information and submit it yourself. GHIN processes its website activity under its own terms and privacy practices.
Course and daily-pin services
When you choose them, LoopWise can request course information from Golf Intelligence and daily pin information from EZPin or Strackaline. Golf Intelligence credentials remain in the iPhone Keychain. LoopWise does not retain a Strackaline login. Each outside service processes requests under its own terms and privacy practices.
Scorecard photographs
When you choose scorecard-photo import, LoopWise first uses on-device text recognition and may send the selected images to the LoopWise online scorecard reader to extract structured course information. The reader does not log the photograph, recognized text, course name, or detected scorecard values. It keeps limited technical request and usage information, including a random installation identifier, to operate and protect the service.
Diagnostics and support
LoopWise creates round and connection diagnostics on your device to help explain GPS, elevation, Watch, synchronization, and other reliability problems. Summa Cruxis LLC receives those diagnostics only when you choose to export and share them. Avoid adding information you do not want to send when contacting support.
Your choices
- You can change location, Health, and notification permissions in system settings.
- You can turn off iCloud backup and synchronization in LoopWise.
- You can remove saved GHIN and Golf Intelligence credentials in the app.
- You can manage saved courses, players, rounds, equipment, and practice data using the controls provided in LoopWise. Deleting a local item does not necessarily erase a copy retained in an earlier iCloud backup or historical archive.
- You can use manual course, pin, and GHIN workflows without connecting the related optional service.
Advertising and tracking
LoopWise does not use your course, round, location, or scoring information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
