CardKeeper: Business Cards · Support
Getting the most from CardKeeper.
CardKeeper: Business Cards runs on iPhone (iOS 17 or later) and Mac (macOS 14 or later), synchronized through your iCloud.
Scan a card
- Tap Scan Card and hold the card flat in good light. Auto Capture takes the picture when the card is steady; Auto Light helps in a dim room.
- Scan the back too if it is printed.
- Review the details. Highlighted fields are the ones CardKeeper is less sure about. Compare them with the card image and correct anything that is wrong.
- Add where you met and a note, then save.
Common questions
My contacts do not appear on my Mac.
Make sure both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud enabled for CardKeeper. Open CardKeeper on each device and check iCloud Status in the menu.
Can I use CardKeeper without sending cards to an AI service?
Yes. Turn AI card reading off and CardKeeper reads cards on your device only. Reading may be less accurate on difficult cards, and every result can still be reviewed and edited.
The phone number or title looks wrong.
Edit the field before saving. If the country is wrong, choose the right one; phone numbers are reformatted for that country. Use Check Again on an unsaved scan to ask for a fresh reading.
I scanned the same person twice.
CardKeeper flags possible duplicates by matching email and phone. Choose Merge with Existing to combine them into one contact; details that differ are kept in the contact's additional information.
How do I share a contact?
Share it as a contact card. Your private notes and where you met are left out unless you choose to include them.
How do I back up my contacts?
Export a complete backup, which includes card and profile images and can be restored into CardKeeper, or a spreadsheet-friendly CSV file for use elsewhere.
